Busboy is single user recipe costing and management application for the iPad aimed at small restaurants, bakeries and delicatessens.

Busboy helps you keep on top of recipe and menu costings so you can ensure you are not selling any of your products at a loss. Once you have created a recipe and set your desired gross profit and tax rate for that specific recipe, all you need to do is keep the list of ingredients, packaging and production costs updated and Busboy will keep the recommended selling prices up to date, as well as showing you the difference between the recommended selling price and your current selling price.

Recipes
- Recipes are the heart of Busboy.
- Creating recipes in Busboy is easy, you set the description, servings, gross profit and tax rate and current selling price. You then add the necessary ingredients, packaging and production costs.
- Busboy calculates and displays the cost price for each section as well as the overall cost price and cost price per serving. The selling price is calculated using the cost price, gross profit and tax rate and is kept up to date with any changes you make to ingredients, packaging, production costs, gross profit and tax rate.
- Busboy will also hi light differences between the recommended selling price and your current selling price, so you can see instantly where the problem areas are.
- You can scale recipes up or down by simply selecting a check box and setting the amount to scale to.
- Recipes can be used as ingredients.

Ingredients
-When creating ingredients you set the quantity, pack size, yield and purchase price. Once that is done you need to create a unit of measure matrix, which consists of the unit of measure description and the quantity per pack based on the pack size you entered.
- Busboy calculates the cost price per unit using the quantity per pack, quantity, pack size, yield and purchase price.
- When adding ingredients to recipes you get to make a selection from the units of measure you setup for the specific ingredient.

Packaging
- When creating packaging you set the quantity, pack size, yield and purchase price. Once that is done you need to create a unit of measure matrix, which consists of the unit of measure description and the quantity per pack based on the pack size you entered.
- Busboy calculates the cost price per unit using the quantity per pack, quantity, pack size, yield and purchase price.
- When adding packaging to recipes you get to make a selection from the units of measure you setup for the specific packaging.

Production Costs
- Production costs can be used to track labour, electricity, water, etc, basically anything that is used in the production of the recipe.
- You set the description and unit or hourly cost. These production costs can then be added to each recipe allowing you to cater for the costs when working out the total cost of a recipe.

Menus
- Menus allow you to calculate the cost price and gross profit for catering, functions and weddings.
- As you add recipes to the menu, Busboy calculates the overall cost price for the menu as well as the recommended selling price based on the current selling prices set for each ingredient.
- You can set your own selling price and Busboy will indicate what your gross profit will be based on the overall cost price and your new selling price.
